To go back to the Search screen, click Capacity Planning next to Welcome at the top-right corner of the page.

Prerequisitesβ
Before generating a Planning Report, ensure the following details are available:
- Machine Master Data
- Control Plan & Part Details
- Planned Production Schedules
- Start Date & Time
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records ensures an error-free and reliable Planning Report.
1.1 Add Capacity Planningβ
Step-by-Step Guideβ
Step 1: Reach the Capacity Planning Sectionβ
Navigate through the side menu:
- Production & Quality β Masters β Capacity Planning
This opens the Capacity Planning page.
Step 2: Adding Capacity Planningβ
On the top right of the Capacity Planning Search page, you'll see an "Add Capacity Planning" button. Click this button.
Step 3: Fill in detailsβ
Upon clicking the βAdd Capacity Planning button, the Create Capacity Plan page will open. Complete the following fields:

Date Range [Madatory]: Click the date range field and select the absolute date range, start time and end time then click the Apply time range button.

Machine Grouping [Optional]: Select Machine Grouping from the Dropdown.

Machine [Madatory]: Select the machines from the dropdown list. You can choose multiple machines.
Note: If a machine grouping is selected, only machines from that group will be displayed; otherwise, all machines can be selected.
After entering the above details, the following fields will be displayed in a table format:

| S.NO | Serial number for easy reference of each machine entry. |
| Machine Name | The specific name or ID of the machine being monitored. |
| Machine Availability (%) | Availability of the machine expressed as a percentage of total planned production time. |
| Machine Availability (in mins) β Hours | Number of hours the machine was available for operation. |
| Machine Availability (in mins) β Minutes | Additional minutes the machine was available for operation. |
| Calculated Availability | Once the value is entered, the system will automatically calculate and show the Calculated Availability. |
| Overall Availability | If you enter the Overall Availability, the same availability value will be applied to all machines. |
Note: Either Machine Availability (%) or Machine Availability (in mins) should be selected. If overall availability is entered, it will be applied to all machines.
1.2.2 Schedule Restrictionβ
Fill in the necessary fields:

Restriction Category (Mandatory): Select the restriction category from the dropdown. Available options are:
- Machine Restriction: Configure restrictions for machine availability.
- Non-Production Period: Configure periods during which production activities are not allowed.

Restriction Type (Mandatory): Select the restriction type from the dropdown.

Date Range (Mandatory): Click the date range field and select the absolute date range, start time and end time then click the Apply time range button.
Click Add to apply the restriction or Clear to reset the fields.
- The added Schedule Restriction will be displayed below.
1.2.3 Part Detailsβ
Fill in the necessary fields:

Part Name β Control Plan (Mandatory): Select the Control Plan from the dropdown.

Machining Process (Mandatory): Select the process from the dropdown.

Production Schedule (Mandatory): Enter the required quantity.
-
Machine (Optional): Select machine from the dropdown.
-
Add: Click Add to save the entered part details.

Clear: Click Clear to reset all the entered field values.
Part Details Listβ
After clicking Add, the added part details will be displayed in the table below.
The following details are displayed for each record:

Select: Select one or more records for deletion.

Delete: Click the Delete icon to remove the selected record(s).

Edit: Click the Edit icon to modify the selected part details.
Note: When editing a record, the Part Name β Control Plan and Machining Process fields are read-only and cannot be modified. Only the remaining editable fields can be updated.

S.No: Displays the serial number of the record.

Process Order: Displays the execution order of the machining process.
-
Part Name β Control Plan: Displays the selected Control Plan.
-
Process: Displays the selected machining process.
-
Process Quantity: Displays the scheduled production quantity.
-
Cycle Time / Machines: Displays the assigned machine along with its cycle time.

Setting Time (in mins): Enter or update the machine setup time in minutes for the selected operation.

Search: Use the search box to quickly find a specific record from the added part details.
Generate Planning Reportβ

Generate Planning Report: Click Generate Planning Report to generate the production planning timeline based on the added part details.

Cancel: Click Cancel to exit without generating the planning report.
1.2.4 Production Plan Timelineβ
Fill in the necessary fields:

Filter Category (Mandatory): Select the filter category from the dropdown. Available options are:
- Machine: Filter the Production Plan Timeline based on the selected machine.
- Date Range: Filter the Production Plan Timeline based on the selected date range.

Machine (Mandatory β When Filter Category is Machine): Select the required machine from the dropdown.

Date Range (Mandatory β When Filter Category is Date Range): Select the required date range to view the Production Plan Timeline.

Apply: Click Apply to display the Production Plan Timeline based on the selected filter criteria.

Clear: Click Clear to reset the selected filter values.
The Production Plan Timeline visually displays the production schedule based on the selected filter.

Restriction / Unavailability: Indicates the periods during which the selected machine or resource is unavailable.
-
Exceeded Time: Indicates that the scheduled production exceeds the available production time.
The Summary section displays the following information:

Total Parts: Total number of parts included in the schedule.
-
Total Operations: Total number of operations included in the schedule.
-
Total Machines Used: Total number of machines used in the schedule.
-
Total Quantity: Total production quantity scheduled.
-
Scheduled (min): Total scheduled production time in minutes.
-
Unscheduled (min): Total remaining unscheduled production time in minutes.
Click Submit to save the capacity planning details or Cancel to discard the changes and return to the previous screen.
1.2 Search Capacity Planningβ
Search a Capacity Planning - Step-by-Stepβ
Step 1: Start Searchingβ
On the Capacity Planning Search page, you can filter by:
- Start Date and Time [Mandatory] : Select the start date and Time.
- End Date and Time [Mandatory]:Select the End Date and Time.
Step 2: See the Resultsβ
Click Search to display results.
- Based on the Start Date and Time and End Date and Time the Matching results will shown.
Step 3: Export as Excelβ
- Click the Export as Excel button to download the displayed search results in Excel format.
1.3 Edit a Capacity Planningβ
Edit a Capacity Planning - Step-by-Stepβ
Step 1: Edit Detailsβ
- After searching, you'll see the Capacity Planning you want to edit.
- Click "View/Edit" next to reach the Edit Capacity Planning page.
Step 2: Update Infoβ
- On the Edit Capacity Planning page, you'll see existing details.
Step 3: Edit Capacity Planningβ
- On the Edit Capacity Planning page, you'll find the existing details of the Capacity planning you're editing.
- Change the details Which you want to update in Capacity Planning.
